![]() Through DoTerra, communities have sprouted all over the world harnessing a drive to focus on their health, care and self-empowerment with over 7 million people and counting! Not only do they encompass a balanced approach to living a toxic-free life for all, but they have an established board of medical professionals to educate, research and publish evidence-based studies using oils. No company is perfect, and there are positives & negatives, but overall I felt that the product quality, support & education dōTERRA provides was aligned with my mission of passionately helping others advocate for themselves, & focus on self-care & self-love. I chose dōTERRA as my go to company, because I liked their quality & their mission of helping others, educating, empowering & giving back to the community. I had heard of a few companies, that were dedicated to essential oils in passing, but started researching them on my own. They kindly offer exposure but it is not “their thing.” In reality these companies do not focus on essential oils. Bath & Body works aromatherapy line, Johnson & Johnson baby aromatherapy products, Vicks Lavender for colds, the list goes on and on. Whether it was at a spa, nutritionist, health food store or even grocery store. I have purchased random brands not knowing distinction from one or the other. ![]() I am so excited to share this with all of you & can’t wait to help you learn & grow some more. They can be used in different ways…topically, aroma, ingested, even used in your water.Ĭan you imagine if the Latinos in my community new that their ancestors’ remedies were now available in a different medium…oils?! ![]() So essential oils are plants that are processed and distilled in a fashion that is compressed as an oil. I grew up with these beautiful plant based remedies but they were just a part of my life, but I never connected these with “essential oils.” She assured me it was “Santo remedio” i.e., a sure thing, “magic cure.” She had aloe in the backyard too, which was often used after a long day at the beach. I don’t remember the steps after that, but the next thing I recall were cold cotton balls on my closed eyes. I had a stye in my eye, and she quickly had me fetch a white flower from her garden, she added water in a pot, brought it to boil, & added this flower. The first time I can remember encountering true (homemade) plant based care was my grandmother.
